Thursday, May 27, 2010 Right Now: What to Wear When You Hit the Beach This Weekend
With Memorial Day just around the bend, all talk around the warehouse has turned to where to go and what to pack for our respective weekend getaways.
The only prerequisite is water, whether it be the ocean, a pool…hell, even a kiddie pool sounds pretty magical (see below).
Anyway, on to the pieces that made the cut:
(Clockwise from top left: Spitfire Neon Lights Shades, Tropical Tie Romper, es n yaa Alexandria Tribal Tote, JC Splendid Platform, MinkPink Ombre Fringe Tank, Loose Knit Sweater, Insight Paint It Pink Swimsuit)

Dreaming of being poolside in the sweltering heat…too bad it’s 58 degrees and raining.
Friday, May 21, 2010 Right Now: Sweet Jane…
While there’s no question that Jane Birkin is the ultimate muse for effortless chic, her sweet yet sultry style seems especially fresh this season with lace, crochet and florals everywhere we turn.
Check out some of the ways we plan on channeling the French gamine:
(Clockwise from top left: Mixed Mahal Bangles, Vintage Basketweave Clutch, Crochet Away Thigh-Highs, Sienna Tunic, Scalloped Lace Box Tee with Faded Floral Zip Shorts, Cheap Monday Nothing But Net Tank, On The Fringe Dress)
Thursday, May 20, 2010 (Almost) Vintage: Lydia Deetz
Even into the dead heat of summer, we never stop looking to the eternally weird and wonderful stylings of Beetlejuice’s goth princess Lydia Deetz for sartorial inspiration.
And here’s what we’ll be wearing along with it:
Wednesday, May 19, 2010 Right Now: Who Wears Short Shorts?
(Hanneli Mustaparta, Frida J. via Lookbook.nu)
(Coury C. & Trang via Lookbook.nu)
(Hanneli Mustaparta, Mr. Newton)
After years of refusing to wear the dreadfully casual short, I officially surrendered a few months back after seeing the mass of insanely cool versions coming down the runway and streets.
Of course now I’m completely hooked, and plan on giving my closet full of dresses and skirts some rest this summer while I rock their bike/scooter/park friendly kid sister instead.
And though I totally plan on showing off my (blindingly pale) gams, Hanneli’s leather+lace-up look is kind of blowing my mind right now.
The question is, which look do you all plan on channeling??
