If you live anywhere outside of Los Angeles, chances are the leaves have started to fall. Summer’s over, which means you can start building your dream fall wardrobe! Our Design Team is here to help. With their Nasty Gal Collection Fall 2013, you can indulge in leather, metallics, and even some super on-trend oil slick material. We were so proud of the collection that we had to ask the team to take a break from their super hectic schedules to come down in the studio and get a lil’ freaky in front of the camera with us. As an added bonus, a few of the design darlings sent over some of their super talented fashion illustrations. Hope you enjoy their sketches and we know you’re going to really enjoy the Nasty Gal Collection pieces that will be landing in your closets soon.

In Our Shoe Cult Lucky Day Loafer

We love how Lisa Dengler of Just Another Fashion Blog styled the Shoe Cult Lucky Day Loafer with perfectly understated black and white pieces, letting these leopard and gold chain loafers shine as they should! Mixing tame and classic pieces, like a nice white knit sweater (the arms should always be slightly too long for an extra snuggly look) and a cool asymmetrical wrap skirt–(or skort!), you can take a walk on the wild side or run to the corner store.

Paris Fashion Week Street Style

Tourist stalls and purse skirts

The time has come: This is Marie Jensen‘s last installment of street style photos from the Spring 2014 fashion weeks. Before she heads back to her native Denmark, she rounded up  sartorial efforts seen on the concrete catwalk in Paris. Surprisingly, the aesthetic this year was slightly different than years past. Usually the city attracts a lot of dressing in dark colors, pulling menswear inspiration, and hones the native-aesthetic of “Parisian Chic.” Although those styles didn’t completely stray, the scene was much more lively this year, with color, texture, and volume galore.

Ziggy Stardust

130930-Lessons From The Pros_0190

In a ideal world, David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust makeup would be everyday wear, but depending on where you work, you might not be able to pull it off (here at Nasty Gal, we wouldn’t bat a well-lined eye). But since Halloween is right around the corner, and it’s the one night a year when unleashing your inner freak is not only accepted but encouraged, we tapped makeup artist extraordinaire Jen Budner to walk us through the steps for creating your own perfect lightning-strikes look.

WAHHHHHHH’s Sharmadean Reid

wahbook-4

Sharmadean Reid knows a good thing when she sees one. The London-based stylist and businesswoman has a habit of spotting (and even starting) trends early, from Nike pool slides to tie-dye Proenza Schouler tees. Back in 2008 she was one of the first people to bring fashion-forward nail art to the mainstream in the form of her hip London salon WAH Nails, and she’s been spreading the WAH way of life ever since. In her new book The WAH Nails Book of Downtown Girls, Sharma lifts the lid on her unique brand of style and success with a little help from a worldwide crew of girls. Our contributor Phoebe Lovatt spoke to her to find out more.

Carly Is Obsessed With Our Nasty Gal Collection Suspension Leather Skirt

Carly Robertson is two things: a superwoman and one stylish-ass gal. As the administrative assistant to our VP Design and our VP Global Sourcing & Production, she manages to get it all done and look really cute while she’s at it. She’s already immersed herself in a new fall wardrobe, and the Nasty Gal Collection Suspension Leather Skirt fits perfectly into it. As a standalone piece or an awesome complement to a crop top, this Nasty Gal Collection piece is sure to fill all your fall wardrobe dreams.
