We love how Lisa Dengler of Just Another Fashion Blog styled the Shoe Cult Lucky Day Loafer with perfectly understated black and white pieces, letting these leopard and gold chain loafers shine as they should! Mixing tame and classic pieces, like a nice white knit sweater (the arms should always be slightly too long for an extra snuggly look) and a cool asymmetrical wrap skirt–(or skort!), you can take a walk on the wild side or run to the corner store.
I traveled like crazy this summer, and while I’m always down for an adventure, I actually love being at home. I’ll be in paradise, and all of a sudden be like ‘I miss my pillow!’ So after hitting New York and Europe in the past two months, I’m ready to take everything I learned on those trips and hunker down in LA to take care of some serious business (well, as serious as we get around here). Sadly, this means I’m missing out on New York Fashion Week, which is kind of a bummer, but several members of the Nasty Gal team are there, so I—and you—can still live vicariously through them!
I only get sick about once a year, but when it hits, it hits hard. And this week, unfortunately, it’s been germs 1, me 0. But I plan on kicking the sick soon—very soon—because this is a pretty big weekend. Nasty Gal is being featured in the WSJ magazine, which hits newsstands today, but I’ve also got a music festival to attend. Super important things happening here, people.
I never thought I’d join a cult (um… not really the type to be brainwashed) but now that Nasty Gal is launching Shoe Cult—our very first footwear collection—I am totally a disciple!

Lime Crime’s Zodiac Glitter is one of those multipurpose beauty products that reinforces our belief that a little sparkle makes everything better. Our makeup artist Stacey Nishimoto used it to create a couple of different eye makeup looks that are subtle enough to wear anywhere—and not just the Electric Daisy Carnival. “Now you can wear glitter to Trader Joe’s or Starbucks!” Stacey says. “A touch of sparkle on your lids can be as subtle as the bling on your French manicure. Think of glitter as the fragrance you put on before you leave the house—it’s the last finishing touch. All you need is a spritz or a dab.”
So I’m wrapping up the first week of a two week trip to Europe, and I’m sorry Los Angeles, I love you but I’m never coming home. Here are a few reasons why…
In honor of the film’s 18th birthday, we decided to revisit just a few of the super-important life lessons that we learned from watching Clueless.
