Wednesday, October 16, 2013 Studio Soundtracks: Meet The Cult: Eiko Hara
Another day, another Shoe Cult disciple! This morning, we’re gettin’ down with NYC DJ/singer/total babetron Eiko Hara. When she’s not mastering her less-is-more ’90s aesthetic, she contributes to Elle Japan and makes some of the sickest mixes to boot. There’s (truly!) nothing better than a fashionable girl with a great taste in tunes, so we had Eiko create the ultimate Nasty Gal playlist—and, of course, share some of her killer style tips along the way.

Tuesday, October 15, 2013 Globetrotter: Meet The Cult: Luanna Perez-Garreaud
When we unveiled our newest crop of Shoe Cult disciples yesterday, we were just dying to know more about these badass NYC babes. So, all week long we’re digging a little deeper to see what makes these ladies really tick. First up? Le Happy fashion blogger Luanna Perez-Garreaud. One peep at her site, and you’ll see she has a serious penchant for mostly black, ’90s-inspired ensembles paired with sky-high creepers and crimson-tipped strands. The coolest part about Lua, though, is that she relocated to Brooklyn only a couple years ago—from Peru! She was awesome enough to share all her favorite spots in Lima—the capital where she grew up—and now we’re officially in need of a vacation.

Monday, October 14, 2013 Artsy Fartsy: Introducing: ‘Junk’ Magazine
Nothing makes us more giddy than the arrival of a new fashion mag—especially when it’s created by two awesome ladies with a killer aesthetic. When Aussie Imogene Barron and Kiwi Lucy Rose relocated to L.A., they launched Junk to “showcase the diverse talent that this inspiring city produces.” Long story short: they did a dang good job. One flip through the mag, and you’re flooded with anything-but-ordinary photo spreads and on-point musings from contributors like Ed Templeton, Gusmano Cesaretti, and Nabil Elderkin, just to name a few. The best part? As of today, you can officially swipe up the magazine for yourself. Get a peek of what’s inside below!
