Thursday, May 8, 2014 Guest Edit: Yasi Salek @ Austin Psych Fest
I’ve been to my fair share of music festivals, from Lollapalooza 1995 (yes, I’m old, but I also saw Sonic Youth, Hole, and Pavement in their prime and you probably didn’t so FU) to a number of Warped Tours (don’t you judge me) to this year’s insane Coachella, plus a whole bunch in between. That’s to say that this year’s Austin Psych Fest wasn’t my first dusty, porta-potty filled rodeo, but I will say it was by far one of the best all-around music festival experiences I’ve ever had.

Sigh of relief, people. We’ve made it through another year of Coachella saturating our media feeds and to celebrate I thought I’d write an article about… my Coachella experience. (Sorry.)
Like tons of other social Californians, I am lucky enough to get a free ticket every year, and it’s a rare privilege extended to a mere 1,000? Thousands? More? Is anyone going to this festival that isn’t getting hooked up and/or paid to be there anymore?
And while the line up is never up my alley, there are a few gems. Also, getting drunk with your friends is fun anywhere—even in the 100 degree desert. It’s definitely a good time, but Coachella as a music festival is just… different.

Wednesday, April 30, 2014 Top Tens: ‘Mean Girls’ Trends That Are Totally Still Fetch
1. SLOGAN TEES
The film that single-handedly defined the early-aughts generation and supplied us with enough one-liners to use in literally any situation (see: “You can’t sit with us!” “On Wednesdays, we wear pink.” “Get in loser. We’re going shopping.”), turns 10 years old today. We are, of course, talking about Mean Girls, which premiered back in 2004 when velour tracksuits and kitten heels ran rampant. But, you guys, a lot of Mean Girls trends are totally coming back in style. Hear us out: plaid is still rad, monochrome is still in, and slogan tees are still a thing. Don’t believe us? Check out our top 10 trending Mean Girls looks below.
Monday, April 28, 2014 Guest Edit: How To Wear Tie-Dye For Any Occasion
I love tie-dye. I got my first tie-dye T-shirt in sixth grade. I have worn tie-dye on every occasion (except weddings, but that’s because I don’t own a Lindsey Thornburg tie-dye dress… yet). From NYC fashion week parties to work meetings to hiking in Hawaii to getting my make-up done for a film project, check out how I was able to rock tie-dye anytime, anywhere.
