Monday, March 24, 2014 DIY: The Beckerman Twins’ Festive Flower Sunnies
Ah, where do we even begin with the Beckerman twins? Cailli and Sam initially caught our eye with their insanely fun and adventurous style blog, but when we found out they also created killer DIY tutorials, we officially fell in love. The Toronto-born twosome has been crafting, sewing, designing, scrapbooking, and drawing their whole lives—they even made faux fur pink and blue raver skirts for their friends in high school—and they haven’t stopped since. “We love making things together and dreaming up fun DIYs. It’s all about enjoying the process of making something new and not worrying too much about the outcome. We love putting on awesome music and getting lost in time while playing with crafts and making one-of-a-kind creations that no one else has!” So, since it’s officially festival season around these parts, we asked them to create the ultimate pair of fest-ready sunglasses, and, well, they certainly delivered. Here, they show us how to create flower sunnies that are inspired by “a hippy love child who goes to Woodstock with a bunch of her friends in their pink vintage Beetle.” Whew. We’re ready to get schooled.

OK, fine. We’ll admit Mondays aren’t so bad when Nicky Hilton stops by our Los Angeles HQ for a serious hang sesh! While Nicky was here, she peeped our Nasty Gal Collection Spring 2014, took a mega awesome #bathroomselfie (are you hypnotized yet?), and answered 5 random questions in a new series we’re calling “Snap Chat.” Check it out below!
Tuesday, March 18, 2014 Role Model: Nasty Gal Collection Spring 2014 Stylist Sasha Kelly
We need to give major props to our Nasty Gal Collection Spring 2014 stylist Sasha Kelly. Without her, our rebellious-meets-feminine lookbook wouldn’t be nearly as, well, badass! The NYC-based stylist has collaborated with everyone from Jeff Bark to Michael Hauptman to Marton Perlaki, and her work has appeared in i-D, Oyster, and Teen Vogue, just to name a few. So, we thought we’d pick her brain and get some insight into her styling secrets. Check out her tips below!

Tuesday, March 11, 2014 Right Now: Nasty Gal x Galore Mag Party
To celebrate Galore Mag’s Music and Friendship issue, we teamed up with founders Prince Chenoa and Jacob Dekat for a balls-out bash at The Lash in Downtown LA. Soko and Tamara Sky dropped some killer beats, and—if you snuck into the VIP section—you might’ve spotted Christina Milian, Deap Vally or Ivy Levan decked out in head-to-toe Nasty Gal (NBD). But, hey, don’t be bummed if you couldn’t make it—we’ve got so many snaps from last Thursday, it’ll feel like you were totally there.

Friday, March 7, 2014 Right Now: Paris Fashion Week Street Style
Dudes, fashion month is over, but before we officially wrap up the fall/winter 2014 season, we thought we’d chat with our photographer/blogger babe Marie Jensen one last time. This week, she made her final stop in Paris (after Copenhagen, London, and Milan!), and—once she caught some Zs—we asked her to dish on her favorite trends, the best off-duty model ensembles and explain why street style is still so important in the fashion world today.
