Friday, May 2, 2014 Right Now: The #GIRLBOSS Book Tour Is Here!
It’s officially #GIRLBOSS go-time, which means Nasty Gal Founder Sophia Amoruso will be hittin’ the road to share stories about her soon-to-be-released tell-all on how she tried to escape capitalism but ended up a CEO. She’ll be stopping by New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles in the next few weeks, so check out the tour dates below to see if you can get in on the #GIRLBOSS action.
Monday, April 14, 2014 Trends: Logomania
It all started with a YSL logo T-shirt. I had the classic black and white one in my wardrobe a few years ago and although I wore it with irreverence, the irony was lost on most. Of course now those tees are hot property (just check Sky Ferreira’s Instagram), and it’s not just because Hedi Slimane banished the “Yves” from the luxury brand’s logo. It’s because logomania has reached fever pitch of late and even I—minimal queen from way back when—want in on it.

Friday, April 11, 2014 Trends: Plaid Is Rad
It’s spring, which means we’re doing everything we can to fight floral overload. Luckily, we’ve got another pattern to brighten up your wardrobe that isn’t the old go-to: plaid! We like to wear checkered prints with distressed denim and classic stripes mixed in, but we’re seriously inspired by all the gingham we saw on the Spring/Summer 2014 runway. Check out how Moschino, Balmain, and Rodarte took on plaid trend, and then be sure to swipe up some of your own.

Friday, April 11, 2014 OMG, Shoes!: Shoe Cult On The Alice McCall Runway
As you know, we’ve been going super hard at Australian Fashion Week, but yesterday we had the ultimate Nasty Gal x Aussie moment at the Alice McCall Spring/Summer 2015 show. In a dreamy industrial space, Alice’s celestial sweetheart rompers, digitally-printed sweaters, and crystal-pleated shorts were paired with our nude Shoe Cult Astaire Sandals for a minimal-yet-crisp silhouette that we’re super stoked to try out next season. Take a peek of some our favorite looks from the runway below!
Thursday, April 10, 2014 Trends: Slide On Over! Or Not.
It’s not uncommon to side-eye new trends when they pop up on the runway, but the return of the Birkenstocks this spring is perhaps the most polarizing—because it’s becoming a serious reality. Casual slip-on sandals have been showing up everywhere (even on our site!) thanks to their debut on Celine’s Spring 2013 runway. Everyone from the Man Repeller to the Olsen twins to Vogue’s magazine editors have signed off on these super casual shoes, but not all are on-board this ’90s trend. So, we let two Nasty Gal writers sound off on why they think the return of Birks is the best (and worst!) thing that’s happened to the fashion world as of late.
