Tuesday, November 5, 2013 Nasty Gals Do It Better: In The Shoe Cult Camden Bootie
It’s impossible for us to be bummed about the cold weather ahead when we spot killer winter style inspiration like this. Eugenie Grey from Feral Creature created the coolest (heh) monochromatic fur coat, snakeskin skinnies and silk top ensemble complete with our killer Shoe Cult Camden Booties.
Thursday, October 31, 2013 Behind The Scenes: #TBT: Nasty Gouls’ Halloween
In case you didn’t know, we take Halloween pretty seriously around these parts. We love a good reason to get dressed up, and to celebrate, we’re doing a balls-out #TBT photo sesh! Take a peek at what some of our Nasty Gals’ favorite (and least favorite!) outfits have been in years past. (#GIRLBOSS Sophia Amoruso’s Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice last year definitely tops our list.)
Thursday, October 24, 2013 Nasty Guys: Drake: Started From The Bottom
We’re really, really into Drake here at Nasty Gal HQ, and today also happens to be his 27th birthday. This (obviously) means we needed to pay homage to our main man on his big day, so we gathered some oh-so-adorbs photos to show that Drizzy did, in fact, “start from the bottom.” From a bright-eyed baby (decked out in the best ’90s duds!) to a too-cool-for-school 8th grader at Degrassi to a suited-up GQ gentlemen, you’ll see why we’ve loved our Champagne Papi every step of the way.
Friday, October 18, 2013 Behind The Scenes: The Shoe Cult Rises Lookbook Shoot: In GIFs!
By now you’ve (hopefully!) peeped the Shoe Cult lookbook featuring tons of killer NYC gals showing off our latest must-have kicks, but what you didn’t see was all the adorable moments that went down behind the scenes. Luckily, we created some awesome GIFs featuring Vashtie, Christina Caradona, Venus X, Lua Perez, Miyako Bellizzi, Brandee Brown, Olivia Bee, Eiko Hara, and Alice Lancaster to make it feel like you were totally there.
Thursday, October 17, 2013 Nasty Guys: Jagwar Ma
Dudes in bands + Australian accents + dope outfits = every reason why we love Jagwar Ma. The Sydney-based trio released their debut album Howlin’ this summer, and we’ve been obsessed with Jono Ma, Gabriel Winterfield, and Jack Freeman ever since. Nasty Gal Photo Editor Cat Roif was lucky enough to chat up guitarist/beatmaster Jono about his favorite T-shirts, going on tour, and all-things Australia, so check it out below! (Bonus: Really, really pretty pictures.)
