Wednesday, June 26, 2013 Globetrotter: The Reza Twins’ Guide to Brisbane
The duo behind Inside In, Inside Out gives us their insider’s guide to Brisbane, Austrailia.
Head to GoMA where there is always at least one fun and interactive exhibition going on, spend a day at The Barracks and watch an independent film and treat yourself to a delish treat afterwards. If something quieter is on our agenda, we love picnicking at New Farm Park, particularly when the jacarandas are in bloom.
If you wallet is feeling getting on the heavy side, treat yourself to a delicious three course meal at Stokehouse. Also, Shady Palms in Stones Corner has a ridiculously impressive breakfast/brunch menu. Try out the sticky date spiced pumpkin hotcakes with fairy floss and pecan praline ice cream if your sweet tooth needs satisfying.
James Street is studded with some of our favorite boutiques. You could say that James Street is Brisbane’s not as glam, but still pretty sassy equivalent of Rodeo Drive.
Black Bear Lodge is a cute bar and live music venue to chill, grab some drinks and catch some rad tunes from time to time.
We are Queenslanders through and through and love the beach culture here. An ideal day off would involve the beach, lazing in the sand and sea, preferably at Noosa. Also, if you feel like a view and some tranquility, a rainforest hike at Mount Tambourine is quite the treat, too.
