NYane and Mpho point us to their favorite places in London.
Brick Lane is known for their vintage stores, but the best by far is the vintage market, which is held Friday-Sunday. The best day to go is Sunday.
For food, Notting Hill has some of the best. With a variety of great restaurants to markets where you’ll find food stalls serving a range of everything from Mexican to Japanese. The Notting Hill Carnival is also the hot spot during the summer. It takes place during August bank holidays, and has Calypso music, steel bands and, as of late, a sound system playing everything from reggae to funk, R&B and house.
If you’re looking for some peace and time to relax by yourself, Greenwich Cutty Sark is the place. You have the Greenwich Pier overlooking the River Thames, and you can also see a beautiful view of Canary Wharf.
If you’re looking for a night out with friends and intend on partying till the early hours, the best club is most definitely Fabric. It is strictly dedicated to playing house, techno, electro, drum ‘n’ bass and dance, and also boasts some legendary line-ups. It’s always a good time. We always make a habit of going to The Big Chill Bar on Brick Lane. It has a chill atmosphere where you can relax with friends over a couple of drinks. Not far from that is 93 Feet East which is a bar that hosts a bbq in their courtyard in the afternoon and also has live music at night.
