It doesn’t get much more OG than our vintage model, Nida. She’s been a Nasty Gal since the eBay days, and is still one of our favorite models to shoot…and hit the dance floor with. Since we all know how awesome she is, we decided it was time to get the inside scoop on a true Nasty Gal

What’s your sign?

Pisces!

What inspires your style the most?

My mood, which also affects the music I listen to when getting ready. I’ll blast the “Little Boots” Pandora station and wear a lot of girly pieces, but then I’ll put on Ciara or Motorhead and feel riskier.

Your first fashion memory:

Wearing big, poofy, pretty lace dresses (you know, the kind you wear when you are getting baptized) every day as a kid. I had like five on rotation. And I wore a lot of neon printed spandex. That almost hasn’t changed.

What has been your best vintage find?

A white rabbit fur jacket for $10.

Where do you like to hunt for vintage pieces?

eBay! Sophia taught me a lot of tricks to the eBay trade for vintage hunting. I like seeing the way other stores style outfits with a vintage piece, then taking my chances on the bidding war.

One thing in your closet you can’t live without:

My Dolce Vita motorcycle boots. They look great with everything.

What are you looking forward to most in 2012?

Traveling! I love shopping in foreign countries…and eating. Lots of food.

What’s playing on your iPod these days?

I am going through a weird love song phase, so a lot of Sade. And right now, the assistant photographer Devyn has me listening to Big Sean.

If you could steal anything from today’s photoshoot, what would it be?

That amazing Keith Haring-esque dress, the leather corset skirt, and….the Back to the Future tee!!!

What’s your first Nasty Gal memory?

Posing in front of Sophia’s blue garage door in the suburbs, being styled in her living room with accessories scattered around, eating burritos while talking about Gossip Girl, and sitting on the kitchen floor while she was trying to pull me out of her super tight YSL trousers.

What makes you a Nasty Gal?

My love for adventure and color! Nasty Gals are girls who like to take risks and look great doing it. They’re confident and always stand out! I like to think I live my life with the same mindset…just have fun and do what you want! Screw being trendy!

Where do you see yourself in ten years? 

Probably living in the mountains with my really hot boyfriend who never has a shirt on and, like, seven cats. I’ll take this same scenario somewhere near the southern islands of Thailand too. Just kidding (sort of). I really just wanna travel around, take pretty pictures, and if I have to set my roots anywhere, I hope it’s with Nasty Gal.
