Thursday, November 1, 2012 Model In The Morning: Meet Lera!
Between working on a double major in Economics and Psychology at USC and a Fashion and Merchandising degree at SMC, we’re pretty sure our newest vintage model Lera is superhuman. When she’s not studying or modeling, she can usually be found sketching fashion illustrations while consuming crazy amounts of coffee and chocolate. Somehow she found a second to chat with us about her dreams and what’s hiding in the bottom of her bag.
I’m originally from…
If you looked in my closet, you’d find…
Many impractical pieces for which I’ve yet to find an occasion.
I’m always on the hunt for…
My most treasured possession…
My mom’s vintage sunglasses. They’ve become such an integral part of my style that people have started to recognize me by them!
When I was a kid, I wanted to be…
A fashion designer, although I didn’t quite label it as such at the time.
In five years, I hope to be…
Traveling the world while working in the fashion industry.
My favorite scent in the world…
The smell of memories!
The most random thing my bag right now…
A 1977 copy of Tolstoy’s War and Peace in Russian. Every now and then, I’ll slip it into my bag, hoping to wade through another chapter in waiting.

Friday, April 27, 2012 Lessons From The Pros: Cool Cat
You asked for it! Following up on last week’s smoky eye, we are sending you off to the weekend with the one-and-only cat eye that we used this week on Chrishell. This look is an essential go-to – it’s super easy to apply after a practice session. Once you’ve mastered your talents from the perfect line to the dramatic swing, you’ll never want to go without it. Definitely the epitome of a cool cat.

Paint the town in rainbow brights, loud prints, and epic vintage minis sure to blow everyone’s mind.
Wednesday, December 19, 2012 Lessons From The Pros: Blue-Eyed Baby
Bright blue is just as neutral as brown or gray, so bag it and show your electric youth. Don’t be afraid…of the attention you’re gonna get!
First, line eyes with a classic navy blue. The best liquid sapphire is Givenchy Parad’Eyes in Blue Lagoon. The deep navy line is the frame for super duper blue, so draw on your favorite shape, a sultry cat eye, cool block shape or paint-splattered ends.
Second, highlight inner corner, disappearing into the center of the lid, with a mega-bright metallic liquid cobalt blue such Make Up Forever’s Aqua Liner in 5. You could get as buck wild as you want with the highlighting but remember it’s an accent color. Keep that in mind and you won’t look like your aunt when she was a gnarly teen in the 80s.
Third, finish with a creamy yet sheer blue on the lashes. I think the most beautiful product on the face of the earth right now is Dior’s DIORSHOW in 258. This mascara is made in France by artisans and smells of faint roses. Even when this tube is on its last leg the formula remains creamy velvety. The color is a perfect Mediterranean cobalt blue. Total perfection!
Bonus: NAILS! Matching your nails to your eyes is the same feeling you get when you buy an expensive-ass bra with the matching panties—it feels amazing. Vivid blue on the nails is actually very elegant and flattering to all skin tones. My favorite blue polish is Sally Hansen in Pacific Blue.
