Her new single, “That Damaged Girl” features A$AP Ferg and an accompanying comic. NBD.
Sevdaliza’s new single, “That Damaged Girl” speaks for itself—a hauntingly angelic voice floating over hard bass—but her story’s one hell of a page-turner. An Iranian refugee and former basketball player for the Dutch national team, Sevdaliza got her masters in communication before realizing that it wasn’t the right path for her. Naturally, she did what any person with a strong work ethic and determined sensibility would do; she taught herself how to make the thing she loved most: music.
Her latest release, featuring A$AP Ferg, is accompanied by a comic strip drawn by Micky Cohen, portraying Sevdaliza as a strong superhero ’cause, well, she’s a straight-up badass. On the new song, she says,”‘The darkest hour is just before dawn’. I indulged myself in total chaos, ordering it made me get clearance again.” Her first full album’s out next year, but to tide you over, stream “That Damaged Girl” below.
