Wednesday, February 12, 2014 Nasty Gals In The Wild: Cailin Hill’s Tokyo Love Story
We’ve been mega fans of The Model Burnbook’s Cailin Hill for awhile now–heck, she even used to model for us way back in the day. Now, she lives in Tokyo with her hubby Dai Araki, and we thought this would be the perfect time to hear about how she managed to land a dude in a whole other hemisphere. Here, Cailin tells us about her overseas love story.
Tuesday, February 11, 2014 Artsy Fartsy: Sexy Mags, Part 1: Talc
In the lead up to February’s annual love-in, Phoebe Lovatt spoke to the people behind two magazines that are challenging the way we look at sex, erotica, and the ever-shifting space in between. First up: TALC founder and creative director Edward Vince.
Tuesday, February 11, 2014 NGTV: #AskSteak: Love Probs
Just a couple weeks ago, we asked you to hit up our go-to advice gal Steaktooth with all your burning love questions and, man, you guys seriously delivered. In our first (and hopefully not last!) Valentine’s Day-themed edition of #AskSteak, she helps solve boy probs, navigate internet relationships, and gives tips on how to bone that babe you’ve been eyeing. But enough of us, let’s watch Steak!
Monday, February 10, 2014 OMG, Shoes!: Shoe Cult At NYFW
Now that our Instagram feeds are filled with blurry runway shots, numerous outfit selfies, and backstage beauty pics, it can only mean one thing: it’s New York Fashion Week! We’re especially stoked for this season because Nasty Gal made an appearance at Zana Bayne’s fall 2014 show. The fashion-blogger-turned-leather-accessories-designer created some killer all-black pieces (think: bondage-y harnesses, fringe tassel skirts, and cone bra bustiers) complete with—drum roll—our Shoe Cult Veiled Mesh Pump. Check out some shots of our stilettos in action below.
Monday, February 10, 2014 Studio Soundtracks: #MusicMonday: Teenage Love
Every Monday we send you a killer playlist straight from NGHQ!
“Ah, is there anything more tender than young love? Between the messy makeout sesh at a house party, the unrequited stares in Algebra, and the borderline-obsessive daily check of a certain someone’s LiveJournal, it seems love was at it’s most new and raw in our adolescent days. What’s so great about security, commitment, and the dedication of a life partner when you were applauded and revered for dating your BF for a WHOLE 6 months (or at least until prom) back in the day? There was laughter, there were tears, and perhaps an emotional breakdown or two while watching The OC. We here at Nasty Gal want to bring back those oh-so-torturous-yet-super-sweet memories with a playlist straight from your first generation iPod. Get ready to get down to the primest of jams from the late ’90s/early 2000s (warning: there’s emo!) and drift into this Valentine’s Day on a cloud of nostalgia.”
