Super Seventies

Some things never change. If you’re a girl, and you’ve lived…well…ever….chances are you love shoes. Because we have some major shoe news right around the corner (we promise!), we decided to look back at some styles that inspired serious devotion in decades past.

Mod Culture drove fashion in the ’60s, and secured a place in footwear history for the square toe, shorter heel and Go Go Boot.

Flore et Faune

Studio 54 reigned supreme in the ’70s, which in turn brought platform sandals and roller skates into the spotlight disco light. New Year’s Eve at Studio 54 once involved dumping FOUR TONS of glitter on the floor, which owner Ian Schrager described as like ‘standing on stardust.’ Sounds like heaven, right? Since we couldn’t be there, the best we can hope is to replicate the feeling in a pair of sparkly platforms.

The Berry

The ’80s brought sneakers to footwear fame, a trend that would fortunately be reinvented in the coming decades.

It’s the ’90s, which means extremes. Combat bootsplatform sneakers, and controversial ads are all the rage.

Jeffrey Campbell

Taking inspiration from the shoes of decades past, Jeffrey Campbell is the mascot of the 2010s. So what’s next?!?
