Lessons From The Pros: Halloween Beauty

Not gonna lie, an actual Halloween costume idea that popped into my head recently was a white sheet, two poked-out eyeholes and an old rotary telephone–literally phoning it in, you guys. But a good costume doesn’t have to come with complicated, theatrical things (we’ve got you there), at least when you’re good with a makeup brush and some hair paint. And if that’s not the case, don’t worry: we tapped our friends, hair stylist Chanel Croker and makeup artist Mikayla Gottleib, for all the tricks you’ll need. White sheet not included!

The Ice Queen

1: Blend white eyeshadow/pigment all over lid
2: Blend light blue shadow on inner and outer corners of eye (don’t be afraid to blend onto face!)
3: Using finger tap blue /white lipstick onto center of lip

Wigs are a great way to switch up your hair without the chemical damage of coloring. The trick to a good wig is that it has either bangs or a lacefront. With this pastel white look, we used a good quality synthetic wig with lacefront. You can cut the lace to fit your hairline and then use a wig glue to keep it in place.

A Sexy Cat, With Some Effort

1: Cover your whole lid in black liner
2: Draw a line creating the cat eye shape right above eyelid crease
3: Draw line from outer eye corner to end of crease line connecting the cat eye shape

With this look we used animal print neon green clip-in hair extensions! The best way to achieve this look is too attach the extensions to the crown of the head, and then pull your hair into a high-pony around the clips. I like to use a scrunchie to give the pony some height, and it helps to hide the clips.

Carrie, Covered In Glitter Blood

1: Paint red hair safe paint onto hair
2: Using red lipstick/ paint draw lines that look like the paint is dripping onto face/neck

This Halloween inspired Carrie look was achieved with Major Moonshine Hair Glitter. Use your fingertips or a makeup brush to apply anywhere on the hair or skin.
