Straight from the center of the Nasty Galaxy, supreme space witch, Remy Ramirez, and triple-extraterrestrial, Spencer Niemetz, are hooking you up with a double dose of celestial insight.
Wear them in or wear them out—either way, Nasty Gal Denim is all about giving you a lift. Our Senior Denim Designer and resident hair icon, Michelle Weinberg, designed our first ever Nasty Gal Denim collection with your ass(ets) in mind, “I hate jeggings,” she says. “I want comfortable jeans that conform to your body. I’m not playing around here.” We caught up with Michelle to talk cowboys, MILFs, and daisy-dusting bells.
Don’t get us wrong—we’re all about that more-is-more attitude, but sometimes all it takes is a couple pieces to truly make a statement ensemble. See: Friend in Fashion blogger Jasmin Howell. This Aussie babe paired a crisp white Nasty Gal Milk and Honey jumpsuit with the Nasty Gal Collection Virtue & Vice Embroidered Bomber Jacket and Shoe Cult Collection Privilege leather heels to prove that less really is more when it comes to turning heads. Check out more pics of Jasmin’s monochrome ensemble below, and stay tuned for the launch of Nasty Gal Australia in the coming weeks!
Leather and lace. Lingerie details and custom metal. Flowers and anarchy. Our latest collection gets rebellious and feminine at the same damn time.
It’s pretty obvious that 17-year-old Charlie Cuscito knows a thing or two about putting an outfit together (see: photo above), but what you can’t see is that she’s also linked to one of the biggest icons in the fashion industry, Anna Dello Russo. The Vogue Japan editor-at-large also doubles as Charlie’s aunt (so cool!) and her eye for on-point ensembles is paving the way for Charlie’s future in fashion. (She also hopes to attend the London Academy of Dramatic and Music Arts one day, NBD.) As she finishes up her last year of high school, we asked Charlie to give us a snapshot of what it’s like living in her hometown of Bari, Italy—and from the looks of it, it seems pretty dang awesome. Check out how Charlie mixed her all-black aesthetic and breezy Italian ‘tude in our Nasty Gal Collection Fall 2013 below. Bonus? That gorge Southern Italy coast as her backdrop.
If you live anywhere outside of Los Angeles, chances are the leaves have started to fall. Summer’s over, which means you can start building your dream fall wardrobe! Our Design Team is here to help. With their Nasty Gal Collection Fall 2013, you can indulge in leather, metallics, and even some super on-trend oil slick material. We were so proud of the collection that we had to ask the team to take a break from their super hectic schedules to come down in the studio and get a lil’ freaky in front of the camera with us. As an added bonus, a few of the design darlings sent over some of their super talented fashion illustrations. Hope you enjoy their sketches and we know you’re going to really enjoy the Nasty Gal Collection pieces that will be landing in your closets soon.
Carly Robertson is two things: a superwoman and one stylish-ass gal. As the administrative assistant to our VP Design and our VP Global Sourcing & Production, she manages to get it all done and look really cute while she’s at it. She’s already immersed herself in a new fall wardrobe, and the Nasty Gal Collection Suspension Leather Skirt fits perfectly into it. As a standalone piece or an awesome complement to a crop top, this Nasty Gal Collection piece is sure to fill all your fall wardrobe dreams.
Nicole Phung, our PR Assistant, never fails to amaze on the daily outfit front. She’s our go-to girl for advice on streetwear, skater skirts, and creepers; she knows exactly how to tie all those different aesthetics together. When Nicole laid eyes on our show-stopping Nasty Gal Collection Flutter Effect Leather Dress, she knew she had to have it. We love how she styled the dress with a simple black snapback and cutout moto boots, making it totally applicable to wear day-to-night. Hashtag #nastygal to show us if you dress it up or dress it down; either way we want to see how amazing you look in Nicole’s favorite Nasty Gal Collection dress!
If you follow our #GIRLBOSS on Instagram, you may have already admired Stephanie Surtida‘s work. She caught our attention by ‘gramming a really impressive sketch of Sophia, but won our hearts with her fashion illustrations (in which she also chronicled some of her favorite looks at Burning Man). It seemed a natural fit to have the LA-based artist illustrates our inspiring Nasty Gal Fall Collection, and here she talks with us about piglets, Santee Alley, and, duh, what to wear to Burning Man.
Our Merchandise Assistant Chanel never fails to deliver some serious outfit inspo every day at Nasty Gal HQ. So, of course, her favorite piece from the Nasty Gal Collection is a complete head-turner. With floating belt loops and a unique bronze color, the trouser style Nasty Gal Collection Suspension Pant is sure to be a standout of the season.
Our Associate Producer, Hillary, couldn’t wait to toss on our Nasty Gal Collection Luminate Top. Her go-to way to style it? A pair of leather shorts, huge felt hat and perfectly broken-in black ankle boots, naturally. Better still, the bold digital print and sheer panels means it’s made to go from work to drinks with your ladies without an outfit change!
Our Vintage Intern Faith has a huge crush on the Nasty Gal Collection Matrix Bodysuit. Unfortunately, it doesn’t exactly consist of an outfit on it’s own. Fortunately, it even looks really cute in her hand.
