Our Favorite Collections From Fall 2014 NYFW

New York Fashion Week is officially donezo, which means it’s time to eat a burger, take a nap, and try to wrap our heads around all the awesomeness that paraded down the runway. So, with the help of illustrator Janelle Burger, we rounded up our 5 favorite NYFW shows to share with our fellow fashion freaks. First up: Marc by Marc Jacobs’ BMX-racer-meets-Working-Girls sporty printed pieces. We are so down with this comfy couture look, and, yes, we totally just made that term up.

Shoe Cult At NYFW

Now that our Instagram feeds are filled with blurry runway shots, numerous outfit selfies, and backstage beauty pics, it can only mean one thing: it’s New York Fashion Week! We’re especially stoked for this season because Nasty Gal made an appearance at Zana Bayne’s fall 2014 show. The fashion-blogger-turned-leather-accessories-designer created some killer all-black pieces (think: bondage-y harnesses, fringe tassel skirts, and cone bra bustiers) complete with—drum roll—our Shoe Cult Veiled Mesh Pump. Check out some shots of our stilettos in action below.

NYFW Spring 2014 Best Looks

This NYFW had something for everyone: Are you a bodycon girl? Or do you prefer trousers? Either way, the Spring 2014 collections at New York Fashion Week had you in mind. The best part about this season (we think) is the texture overload. Indulge in an elegant silk or strut your stuff in some tight-ass leather, or wear them both at once: juxtaposition is as in as Miley was pre-VMAs. The color palette is equally all over the place (in a good way). Many collections favored greyscale tones to complement their menswear aesthetic, while our favorite color trends were baby pink and bright tangerine orange, which actually looked awesome together. Below we have collected our favorite looks from the designers at NYFW SS14, take a peek and get inspired!

The Cult Takes NYFW

This week, Shoe Cult is rising and raging in NYC. We held an open call model casting in Washington Square Park, swarmed the city with a few surprise gift card giveaways, and hit up a few fashion week parties to capture the stylish throngs. We’re here all week folks (literally), so this is the first of many dispatches you can expect as we recruit Cult members everywhere we go.
