Our collaboration with the legendary Rock ‘n Roll Cobbler is as glam as it gets.
We’re pretty stoked about our new 8-piece Shellys London shoe collection, and, as it turns out, some of our favorite bloggers are too. The Man Repeller, Style2Bones and Ebba Zingmark all took a cue from their monochromatic shoes and got decked out in a single shade for their entire ensemble. Color us impressed.
Sure, we’re mega fans of sky-high platforms and towering wedges, but sometimes we get flat-out (heh) tired of wearing the same ol’ go-to heels. These days, we’re all about menswear-inspired shoes (think: oxfords and loafers), so we gathered some of our favorite street style looks to show us that, yes, you can dress up even the most basic pair of penny loafers.
In case you haven’t noticed, we just can’t get enough of our NYC Shoe Cult disciples. Today, we’re getting to know filmmaker/Ryan McGinley muse Brandee Brown who is the definition of a badass babe. Lucky for us, Brandee created a short film that we’re debuting for the first time right here on the site! (Plus, it comes with a poem too.) Pretty cool, eh? Check it out below.

Another day, another Shoe Cult disciple! This morning, we’re gettin’ down with NYC DJ/singer/total babetron Eiko Hara. When she’s not mastering her less-is-more ’90s aesthetic, she contributes to Elle Japan and makes some of the sickest mixes to boot. There’s (truly!) nothing better than a fashionable girl with a great taste in tunes, so we had Eiko create the ultimate Nasty Gal playlist—and, of course, share some of her killer style tips along the way.

Sure, you might’ve peeped the latest Shoe
…whatever we want. —Lua Perez from Le Happy
When we unveiled our newest crop of Shoe Cult disciples yesterday, we were just dying to know more about these badass NYC babes. So, all week long we’re digging a little deeper to see what makes these ladies really tick. First up? Le Happy fashion blogger Luanna Perez-Garreaud. One peep at her site, and you’ll see she has a serious penchant for mostly black, ’90s-inspired ensembles paired with sky-high creepers and crimson-tipped strands. The coolest part about Lua, though, is that she relocated to Brooklyn only a couple years ago—from Peru! She was awesome enough to share all her favorite spots in Lima—the capital where she grew up—and now we’re officially in need of a vacation.

We’re totally stepping up our grunge game thanks to Anjelica Lorenz of Mode Junkie—and we mean that literally. She paired the Shoe Cult Vicious Chained Bootie with an oversized plaid top and loads of leather for a super fresh look we’re just dying to cop. (Blunt bangs and badass ‘tude are a total bonus.)
