Monday, August 27, 2012 Sophia’s Corner: The Future Is Now
Today marks the beginning of a new era at Nasty Gal. Until today, Nasty Gal has been a place that we’ve curated things that already existed. Now, for the first time, we’re creating things. For the past year, we’ve been searching for inspiration, sketching and ultimately designing our very first collection – Weird Science. Drawing on influences from the past and future, the collection pushes the boundaries of both and takes them to the next level. Think dresses hacked and fused with metal, moto jackets with unexpected twists, and an over-the-top shag jacket inspired by one of my favorite vintage finds. I hope you love it as much as we do.

Sophia started Nasty Gal out of her bedroom in 2006. She enjoys a a good Salade Niçoise, a sturdy pair of platforms, and occasionally twirling around the studio while blasting disco.
