Lauren and Sam, Digital Marketing and PR

When did you know that they were the one?
Sam: “On the flight for our work trip to Manchester. I sat in the middle seat for our 12-hour flight”
Lauren: “And he insured me that my newly microbladed eyebrows looked good.”
First date story?
We spent a week nonstop together in Manchester. On our first solo date, we snuck out to the bar. Everything was closed for food, but we saw that the room next to us in our hotel had a (basically untouched) pizza that they were discarding. We ate it proudly.
How serious is it?
It’s pretty serious. I already told him I’d be his surrogate.
Best work story?
Our daily lunches and walks.
Go-to lunch spot?
Javista!
Tiyana and Chiara, Copy

When did you know that they were the one?
I first interviewed Chiara for a temp job in our copy department and was struck by her sense of humor, her intellect, and the really great vintage rock tee she probably had on. Hiring her was a no-brainer.
First date story?
Every day is like a first date! I am constantly surprised and awed by Chiara’s talent and capacity to handle whatever falls on her plate.
How serious is it?
I basically can’t live without her.
Best work story?
That time I threatened to meet Chiara and some other staff members at a bar I’m too old to go to and embarrass them like an uncool mom.
Go-to lunch spot?
The kitchen, where I see Chiara making delicious hummus and avocado somethings, while I quietly starve at my desk waiting for Postmates.
Chris and Jordan, Creative
When did you know that they were the one?
Chris tucked me in after a long, long night.
First date story?
We went to a wrestling match and bought matching shirts–we also shared an ice cream cone.
How serious is it?
Deadly.
Best office story?
At our previous shared office space, we found out that one of the sketchy guys we always ran into from the company that shared the space with us was an ex-drug lord.
Go-to lunch spot?
Steven’s in DTLA!
Bridgette and Alexa, Social Media
When did you know that they were the one?
I had a specific moment at our first lunch where I was like, I need to hire this girl.
First date story?
It was a setup networking lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel. It was love at first sight.
How serious is it?
Pretty damn serious. I’m going to propose soon.
Best work story?
When we tried to order a glass of champagne, accidentally bought an entire bottle, and ended up literally swing dancing on stage.
Go-to lunch spot?
It used to be the American tea room, but it closed so now we’re stuck at our desks.
Andrea and Saul, Digital Marketing
When did you know that they were the one?
When Saul first walked in and sat down for our interview, I felt the calmness in his voice. After three minutes, I was like, forget it, this is it—I don’t need to interview anyone else.
First date story?
Andrea treated me to lunch at the taco truck, even though she already had 6 shrimp burritos that week.
How serious is it?
Oh, this is very serious. We have long-term goals.
Best office story?
When we cleaned the entire closet by ourselves because we couldn’t stand the messiness of it anymore.
Go-to lunch spot?
The taco truck where everything started!
