Things are about to get wild.
You’ve probably noticed that everybody has suddenly started banishing bright colors from their day-to-day repertoire for khakis and other neutral tones now that we’re moving into in-between season territory. The City Safari trend is going to be the trend to take on the dropping temperatures, and if you don’t have it on your radar yet (hey—life can be hectic) we’ve got the 411 right here. We asked our buying team to give us a quick breakdown, plus a peek at our own inspired goods. Spoiler: You’re gonna want ‘em all.
Inspired from a street style perspective rather than the catwalk, City Safari includes a blend of utility and linen pieces working across dresses, jumpsuits and woven separates, with tonal military references and sports utility styling with oversized chunky trainers.
Led by woven fabrics and separates, this trend features plenty of pocket detailing, horn buttons, and belts throughout.
The color palette is made up of camel and neutral tones set back with burnt spice tones like turmeric and marsala red as well as the more traditional khaki. Texture is key, with linen-mix and textured cottons, as well ribbed jersey knits in key colors.
Prints feature a mix of tonal checks and earth tone camos.
