Let’s go, girls.
September 22nd is National Girls Night, so we wanted to use this opportunity to inspire some plans and highlight the thing we love most: spending time with your gals.
From pajama parties to happy hours, from movie nights to disco ball dance floors, whether you prefer a girls’ night in or a girls’ night out, we’ve got you covered with all the ideas – and outfits – to complete the perfect girls night.
Girls Night Out Ideas
Cocktail Making Class
If you and your girls enjoy a tipple on your girls nights, why not plan a cocktail masterclass? Many bars offer the experience, especially larger chains, so get searching! You’ll be taught how to make some classics, so whether you like a pina colada (and getting caught in the rain), or if a passion fruit martini is your fave, you’ll be shown the ropes (and hopefully given some tasters along the way).
Bottomless Brunch
It’s a classic. Bottomless brunch is a staple to all girl gangs, and if you haven’t been to one yet, why not? When it comes to a brunch, you can choose between a classic experience, where you’re given food and drinks for a pre-paid price, or a themed brunch, with all the food and drinks, but also including games, entertainment, and music. A themed brunch is far more of a party vibe, so if you have anything to celebrate, definitely consider booking a table! If you’re wanting a more low-key approach, perfect for chatty catch ups and snapping pics, a classic bottomless brunch is ideal for your girls night out.

Fancy Dinner
If that chilled, chatty vibe is what you need on your next girls night out, you could simply book a nice meal! Use it as an opportunity to get a little dressed up and have a proper catch up. If there’s lots of you, you could look for a restaurant which offers private dining rooms for an even more upscale, luxury night out.

Museum After Hours Events
If you’re looking for more unique girls night ideas, look no further than after hours events at a museum. Yes, that’s right, some museums offer after hours, adults only events, with booze, and fun experiences, and sometimes even sleepover opportunities. Learn a little while wandering the halls with your best friends, sipping on bubbly if that’s your thing. If you want to step it up, have someone create a scavenger hunt around the halls, using a phone or a Polaroid camera to prove you’ve found everything.
Pottery Painting
For more of a girls day vibe, have you heard of Paint and Sip? So many local pottery places now offer pottery making or pottery painting sessions, and you can usually bring your own snacks and drinks – alcoholic or not. Grab your fave nibbles and go create a cute piece for your home, which will always make you think of your girls. This is also a great thing to do if you’re not super into drinking!

Girls Night In Ideas
Staying in?
We think nights in are often even better than nights out. They usually don’t require spending much money, someone gets to host, and you can even take it in turns to host different nights and try new things as a squad. For girls night ideas that don’t require dressing up, don’t break the bank, and guarantee something fun and new to do together.
Disclaimer: you’ll have seen some of these ideas on TikTok.
Themed Cocktail Night
Themed cocktail nights are so fun. Pick a theme – like everyone makes a cocktail based on their job, or inspired by their ex – crank the tunes, grab some snacks, and get sipping. Nights like these are ideal for stepping up the classic wine and cheese (or beer and pizza) nights, everyone has a laugh about their cocktail making skills, and nobody gets out sober.
Themed Board Night
If you want all the creativity and vibes of the cocktail night, but you aren’t really into drinking, switch out the themed cocktails for themed charcuterie boards. Everyone can pick a color or a letter and theme all of the food on their board around it. You can make the themes as broad or as challenging as you like! Like the cocktail night, you can all have a laugh and flex your chef skills (or lack thereof), and nobody gets out hungry.
Pajama Party
A staple in the girls night agenda: the pajama party. Think all the slumber party vibes of your childhood dreams – because we have adult money and can make them happen. Build blanket forts, watch movies, make snacks and play games, the options are endless. For all the nostalgia, try to find the best games of your childhood: think dream phone, Mario Kart, and Just Dance. Opt for a classic movie like 13 Going On 30 or the Princess Diaries series, or gather your girls for the new blockbuster you promised you’d watch together. Order takeout or make classic slumber party snacks like nachos and popcorn. You cannot go wrong by hosting a sleepover for your gals! Extra points for matching accessories or pajamas.

Private Chef Night
If you have something big to celebrate, or are looking to elevate your girls night in, you could splash out with dinner made by a private chef. Private chefs are incredible at what they do, and ensure a night filled with food and drinks that you’ll be talking about for years to come. The host doesn’t feel pressure to prepare food – especially if their kitchen skills leave something to be desired – and you can rest assured that you’ll be getting looked after with five star service. Kick back, and enjoy your night in style.
